Arvind Kejriwal

Just before the voting of Delhi elections, an FIR has been filed against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in Haryana. This case has been registered in Shahbad police station. Actually, Kejriwal had accused Haryana of mixing poison in the water of Yamuna

This FIR has been lodged by a person named Advocate Jagmohan Manchanda. Jagmohan Manchanda had complained against Kejriwal in the court calling this statement as party politics, after which a case has been registered against Kejriwal under sections 192, 196 (1), 197 (1), 248 (a), 299 of the BNS.

This statement was given regarding Yamuna

Let us inform you that while addressing an election rally on January 27, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal raised the issue of poor quality of water being provided to Delhi by Haryana. Kejriwal had said, ‘There is no bigger sin than depriving people of water. BJP wants to leave the people of Delhi thirsty with its dirty politics. They are mixing poison in the water being sent from Haryana. Kejriwal had further said, ‘This polluted water is so poisonous that it cannot be treated with the help of water treatment plants present in Delhi. BJP wants to commit mass murder of Delhiites. But we will not let this happen.’

Election Commission had asked questions

After this statement, the Election Commission had asked him questions and sought answers. After which Kejriwal had called it a comment made in public interest. He said these things in response to the notice issued by the Election Commission. Kejriwal had given a 14-page reply to the ECI’s notice. The AAP national convenor said the remarks were made in relation to the immediate and alarming public health crisis related to the deteriorating quality of drinking water in Delhi. Kejriwal said Delhi is dependent on raw water supply from Haryana. He said the statements about poor water quality were made to highlight the contamination and serious toxicity in the raw water received from Haryana.
