Heavy rain alert issued in 15 districts of Chhattisgarh

A yellow alert for rain has been issued in 15 districts of Chhattisgarh today on August 23 . Heavy rains may occur in Surguja, Jashpur, Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, Mahendragarh-Chirmiri, Bilaspur, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Raigarh, Sarangarh, Bilaigarh, Sakti, Mungeli, Korba, Janjgir, Balodabazar. From June 1 to August 22, the state has received 869.4 mm of rain, which is 3% more than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the state should have received 844.8 mm of rain till now. 5 districts have received more rain. At the same time, there are 6 districts where the rainfall has been less than normal.

A rain alert has been issued for three days in the district. There may be rain with thunder and lightning in many areas. At the same time, the weather became cold after heavy rain on Thursday August 22. Raipur is cloudy since morning. Rains may occur with thunder and lightning today also. Due to heavy rains during the day and night on Thursday August 22 , the day temperature has dropped by 5 degrees. While the maximum temperature on Wednesday August 21 was 35 degrees, it reached 30 degrees on Thursday August 22.
