Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh has made remarkable progress in every field in the last 25 years and we are celebrating this year as the silver jubilee of the state. He said that higher education institutions expanded during the tenure of Dr. Raman Singh and at present, nationally reputed institutions like 15 medical colleges, IIT, IIM, Triple IT, CIPET, AIIMS, and Law University are functioning in the state.

He informed that the state government has achieved equally remarkable achievements in both education and health sectors. In the last one and a half years, concrete efforts have been made to establish good governance. To make governance transparent, most of the services have been made online, which has effectively controlled corruption and a significant increase has been recorded in revenue.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in mineral wealth and participation of every citizen is necessary to make it self-reliant. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the Skill India Mission. When this mission was started, India was the 10th largest economy in the world — and today, in just a decade, India has reached the fourth position.

Chief Minister Sai said that a balance has been established between employers and trained youth through mega placement camps.

This work is an evidence of the commitment of the double engine government. Describing the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana as very useful, he said that this scheme is providing experience as well as economic incentives to the youth, thereby opening new doors of possibilities for them.

The Chief Minister informed that special opportunities have been ensured for the youth in the new industrial policy of the state government. There is a provision to give grants to industries employing more than one thousand local youth. Additional concessions have been given in areas like Bastar and Surguja. He informed that activities of Skill India Mission have started in all 32 development blocks of Bastar.

CM Sai said that to promote ‘ease of doing business’ and ease of living, the process of clearance to industries has been made very simple through single window system. This has accelerated investment in the state. So far, investment proposals worth more than Rs 6 lakh crore have been received, the approval process of which is in progress.

Chief Minister Sai said that recently a pharmaceutical company has started its manufacturing unit in Nava Raipur. This was possible due to two reasons – one, Nava Raipur has been developed as a pharma hub, and second, special provisions have been made in the new policy for the pharma industries .

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also informed that the foundation stone of the first semiconductor unit of the state has been laid recently. The contribution of special grants for investment in AI and IT sector is behind this.

The Chhattisgarh government has also established the country’s first AI data center park in Nava Raipur.

The Chief Minister praised the private institutions, especially Rungta University, and said that they are developing Chhattisgarh as a skill hub by becoming full participants in the efforts of the state government. He congratulated the participants and the university family on this historic achievement.
