Jail Bharo Andolan of the victims cheated by the chit fund companies, demanded the implementation of BUDS Act and threatened self immolation
Janjgir Champa: The fraud victim depositor family of the district organised a jail bharo aandolan. The agitators took out a rally from the hockey ground and gheraoed the Kotwali police station.anning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes
But, keeping the rally in mind, the district police erected barricades near Santoshi temple and deployed forces. They turned the Setu Nigam program into a temporary jail and arrested the protesters.
The members of the cheated depositor family demanded the Central Government to implement BUDS Act 2019 and arrange for refund of money to the victim family as promised. They announced to continue indefinite strike till their demand is not met. Even after this, if the government does not take any action, they have warned of mass self-immolation.
