Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while addressing the program organised at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office, Jashpur on Sunday September 14, 2025 , said that Chhattisgarh is continuously moving forward in the field of development. On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” is being realised.
The Chief Minister also honored the self-help groups and youth working in the field of tourism in Jashpur district by giving them certificates.
The Chief Minister said that due to new duties and responsibilities, now most of the time I have to stay out of Jashpur, but I will keep coming to Jashpur and will keep doing better work in the field of development.

He said that after becoming the Chief Minister, an initiative has been taken to give Jashpur a new identity on the tourism map through Jashpur Jamboree. In the Jashpur Jamboree held in the year 2024, a large number of people from our neighboring states also reached to participate and witness that occasion. In Jashpur Jamboree, people not only gave a new atmosphere for eco-tourism and adventure sports, but were also introduced to tribal traditions. Chief Minister Sai said that cultural performances, local cuisine fair and tribal dances attracted tourists, which provided employment to local artisans and guides.
The Chief Minister said that once again a new season of Jashpur Jamboree is going to be organized. In which people from the country and the world will be able to reach here from 6 to 9 November and get acquainted with adventure, art and community experiences. To bring alive the fragrance of the soil of Jashpur, an exhibition of handicrafts like tattoo art, wood craft and iron craft along with tribal dances like Karma, Sarhul and a cultural evening based on folk drama will be organized.
This will not only preserve and spread our cultural heritage, but will also give global recognition to local art and handicrafts. Jashpur Jamboree is a festival that weaves nature, culture and development in one thread. This event presents the natural beauty, tribal heritage and modern development of Jashpur together. Jashpur Jamboree is not only a means of entertainment but also of economic empowerment.
He said that under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana, boating, cactus garden and tent facilities have been added to Mayali Nature Camp. The tourist places here are now equipped with better facilities, the largest natural Shivling Madheshwar mountain in Mayali has been registered in the Golden Book of World Records, which is establishing Jashpur as a spiritual and cultural center.
The Chief Minister said that we are looking at the tourism sector as an industry, which will increase local entrepreneurship. Home-stay policy has been implemented in the state so that tourists want to know and understand the tribal culture.
They have a curiosity and eagerness about tribal culture, traditions, their food, lifestyle. In such a situation, home-stay is a new concept of development in the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, in which local communities are getting better employment opportunities.
This will also promote tourism. Local home-stays, guides and craftsmen will directly benefit from festivals like Jashpur Jamboori. He said that they want to establish Jashpur Jamboree as an annual festival, in which Jashpur can become a major center of attraction for international tourists as well. Jashpur’s reach will increase with GIS mapping and digital marketing. Here, youth and all people associated with tourism will be given training, so that they can meet global standards< CM Sai added.
Surguja Tribal Development Authority Vice President and Pathalgaon MLA Gomti Sai, Jashpur MLA Raimuni Bhagat and District Panchayat President Salik Sai also addressed the program and gave detailed information about the development of Jashpur, tourism sector and agricultural revolution.

Jashpur Jamboree is a festival celebrated every year amidst the valleys and waterfalls of Jashpur, which is not just a program but an experience of the soul of this district. Jashpur Jamboree made its grand debut in 2024 and is now returning in an even grander form in 2025.
The first Jashpur Jamboree held in 2024 offered a confluence of adventure, culture and community that attracted participants from across the country. People from several districts of Jharkhand, Odisha, Raipur and Chhattisgarh participated in the festival. Participants experienced the history and culture closely by visiting places like Rani Daha, Tea Garden and Jashpur Museum
The Food Lab won everyone’s heart by presenting local cuisine in a modern form. The presentations of Sarhul and Karma dance showed the depth of tribal traditions. Four days were full of exciting activities, cultural colors and community interaction. This event made Jashpur a new destination for eco-tourism and adventure sports.
Second Jashpur Jamboree 2025 Towards new experiences, this festival is now coming back in a bigger form. Jashpur Jamboree 2025, to be held from 6 November to 9 November 2025, will further enrich adventure, art and community experiences. Exciting – rock climbing, rappelling, zipline, trekking, water sports at Mayali Dam, views of Madheshwar mountains from paramotor and hot air balloon will be available.
Tribal dance (Karma, Sarhul), folk music, handicraft workshops (clay, bamboo, Gondna art, wood and iron work), folk drama and local cuisine will also be experienced. He said that traditional games, team-building activities and the warmth of bonfire under the starry sky will bring joy to the minds of the people. The aim of Jashpur Jamboree 2025 is to connect the participants with the flow of nature, tradition and community, where every moment tells a new story. Deputy Collector Sameer Bada expressed his gratitude in the program.
