Karnataka: Former DGP of Karnataka was murdered in his own house, police is investigating the accused and the incident

Karnataka Former DGP Murdered: Former Karnataka DGP/IGP (Retired) Om Prakash has been murdered in his residence. This information has been shared by Bangalore Police. Om Prakash is a 1981 batch IPS officer. At present, the police is investigating the case from all angles.

Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash, a 1981 batch IPS officer, has been murdered in his house in Bangalore. Media reports suspect the involvement of a close family member in the incident. At present, the police have sent the body for post-mortem.

Former DGP was a resident of Bihar
Let us tell you that 68-year-old Om Prakash was originally a resident of Champaran, Bihar. He was appointed as Director General of Police on 1 March 2015. He was earlier the Director General of Karnataka Home Guards and Fire Brigade and was also the Director General of Police of the state from 2015 to 2017.
