Kedarnath :A helicopter accident has happened once again in Kedarnath Dham today . The MI-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force was bringing back an old chopper by hanging it, when the damaged chopper had to be dropped from the sky near Rambada.
According to the information, the helicopter which had made an emergency landing due to technical fault during landing on 24 May 2024, crashed this morning. To fix the helicopter, it was being transported to Gauchar airstrip by hanging it with the help of MI 17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force. During this, MI 17 started getting imbalanced.
Sensing the danger, the pilot dropped the helicopter from the sky in the valley after seeing the empty space. District Tourism Officer Rahul Choubey said that on 24 May 2024, due to technical fault in the Crystal Aviation Company, the helicopter was landed in an emergency some distance away from the Kedarnath helipad due to the prudence of the pilot.
Due to the prudence of the pilot, all the passengers on board the helicopter had a safe landing. As soon as it came a little distance, the balance of MI 17 started deteriorating due to the effect of the weight of the helicopter and the wind, due to which the helicopter had to be dropped from the sky by MI 17 when it reached near Tharu camp.
There was no passenger or luggage in the chopper dropped from the sky. The rescue team reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The team is inspecting the situation. However, after reaching the spot, SDRF jawans also carried out a rescue operation.
