BLA now attacks in Quetta
Pakistan Liberation Army (BLA) has carried out the second major attack in five days in Balochistan province of Pakistan. Seven soldiers of the Pakistani army have died in this attack, while BLA claims that 90 soldiers have been killed in it. These attacks are not only increasing social instability but are also affecting the economic condition of Pakistan.
Liberation Army has carried out the second attack in five days in Balochistan province claimed by Pakistan. This was a suicide attack, in which it is being said that seven soldiers of the Pakistani army have been killed. However, BLA claims that it has killed 90 soldiers in this attack. Pakistan is also suffering huge economic losses due to continuous attacks one after the other, China is also being badly affected by this.
Defense expert Hemant Mahajan says that the continuous attacks on the army clearly show that the convoy of the Pakistani army is not safe, and that due to these attacks, China has decided to ban investment in troubled areas. The situation is such that the Pakistani administration has deployed 40,000 soldiers for the security of the Chinese project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), despite this big attacks are taking place.
Forget about CPEC, the army is not able to keep itself safe!
Defense experts say that keeping CPEC safe is a different matter, but if the Pakistani army is not able to keep itself safe, and so many casualties are happening, then China is also unhappy with this. China believes that the ability of the Pakistani army to protect the CPEC project is weak. The entire region of Balochistan serves as the gateway to China, and the entire region is vulnerable to attacks by anti-Pakistan groups.
China has also indicated that no new project or new investment will be made in these areas until the violence is stopped and the threat of BLA is reduced. On the other hand, China also puts pressure on Pakistan for military action in Balochistan, whose soldiers and workers are often targeted by BLA.
China is putting pressure on Pakistan for a major military operation!
China has been believing that things can be brought under control through bribery and negotiations, but now it has understood that the danger will not end just by controlling the situation. This is the reason why China is pressuring Pakistan to launch a large-scale military operation to eliminate security threats. However, Pakistan understands that if it does so, the situation may worsen.
For example, the Pakistani army has been continuously carrying out military operations in Balochistan since 2001, but if it is done on a large scale, the tensions at the local level will increase further. On the other hand, BLA has also strengthened itself and its fighters have advanced weapons and experts believe that they are more dangerous than before. As far as large-scale military operations in Balochistan are concerned, it is difficult.
Pakistan deploys additional troops to protect Chinese project in Balochistan!
Establishing a secure environment in Balochistan can prove to be a difficult task from economic and military point of view. China has an investment of $21 billion in different provinces of Pakistan, including Balochistan, and Pakistan is willing to spend $200 million on its security.
Due to the continuous attacks by BLA, Pakistan has deployed two additional army divisions to protect the CPEC projects, but with two consecutive attacks in the last five days, this is not proving to be effective. It is said that to stop the attacks, China has also adopted tactics like bribing the BLA through a back channel, but this has not been effective, and the attacks have only increased.
For example, Pakistan remains strategically relevant for China, yet it is becoming economically disadvantageous for it.
