Raipur: KTU Holi Milan: On the occasion of International Women’s Day on Saturday March 8,2025 , ‘Tarang 2.0 – Shakti Ka Gulaal’ program was organised in the Department of Mass Communication of Kushabhau Thackeray Journalism and Mass Communication University. On this occasion, a poetry recitation and quiz program focused on Nari Shakti was organised.

Head of the Department (HOD) Mass Communication Dr. Rajendra Mohanty, while expressing his views on Nari Shakti, said that today is the day to underline the respect of women and their contribution. The “Shakti Ka Gulaal” program organised in the department is an opportunity to raise awareness about the role of women in society and their rights. The participation of women in the field of journalism is constantly increasing and they are touching new heights with their talent and hard work. Dr. Mohanty said that the role of men is important in the progress of women, because both complement each other. For the development of society, it is important that women and men work together and support each other. When women get equal opportunities and rights, the entire society prospers.

Holi Milan was also organised
Holi Milan was also organised on the occasion of Shakti Ka Gulal program. Students applied Tilak and played dry Holi and gave the message of water conservation.
The program was conducted by Muskan Bharti and Khyati Mishra, students of Mass Communication Department. On this occasion, teachers of Mass Communication Department Dr. Nilesh Sahu, Gulshan Verma, Abhishek Goswami of Social Work Department and Sneha Pandey of Language Department, research scholars Gayatri Singh, Vinod Sawant and Chandresh Chaudhary along with students were present.
