Chief Minister said the Prime Minister’s appreciation of water conservation efforts by farmers in Koriya district is a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh. It reflects how work at the grassroots level in the state is gaining recognition across the country.

Referring to the ‘Aawa Pani Jhonki’ model, he said farmers have constructed recharge ponds and soak pits in their fields to conserve rainwater. This community-led effort has led to an improvement in groundwater levels and is emerging as a model for other regions.

He added that water conservation has taken the form of a mass movement under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Chhattisgarh government is working to expand it further through public participation. He appealed to citizens to make water conservation a part of their daily lives.

Chief Minister also referred to the Prime Minister’s remarks on self-reliance in fish production, promotion of fitness, reduction in sugar intake, and the need to create a supportive environment for sports. He said the state is taking planned steps to promote fisheries, connect youth with sports, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. These efforts, he added, will strengthen the rural economy and create new opportunities for youth.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s message on the situation in West Asia, Chief Minister said the country is prepared to face any challenge, with coordination between the Centre and the states.

He assured that there is adequate availability of petroleum products, cooking gas, and essential commodities in Chhattisgarh, and that the supply system remains normal. He urged citizens to avoid rumours and rely only on official information.

Chief Minister said the state government remains committed to strengthening water conservation through public participation and taking Chhattisgarh towards a secure and water-sufficient future.

MLA Purandar Mishra, Chhattisgarh Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Sanjay Srivastava, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Krishna Das along with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
