New Delhi: After the start of UER-II, travelling will become very easy. Currently, it takes two and a half hours to cover the distance from Singhu border to Dwarka Expressway, but now this journey will be completed in just 40 minutes. With this, about three lakh vehicles entering Delhi daily will not need to come inside the city.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is soon going to inaugurate two major national highway projects, the Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway and Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II). For this, he has reached Rohini. He did a road show there.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini are also present with the Prime Minister. These projects, built at a cost of about 11 thousand crore rupees, will provide great relief to Delhi battling traffic jams and will further strengthen connectivity.

A two and a half hour journey will be completed in 40 minutes
After the start of UER-II, the journey will become very easy. While it currently takes two and a half hours to cover the distance from Singhu Border to Dwarka Expressway, now this journey will be completed in just 40 minutes. With this, about three lakh vehicles entering Delhi daily will not need to come inside the city.

How will the Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway be?
The Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway is also special. This 10.1 km long section has been constructed at a cost of Rs 5,360 crore. This section extends 5.9 km from Shiv Murti Chowk to Dwarka Sector-21 and 4.2 km from Sector-21 to Delhi-Haryana border. It will provide multi-modal connectivity connecting Yashobhoomi, DMRC’s Blue and Orange lines, upcoming Bijwasan railway station and Dwarka cluster bus depot.
Projects will prove to be game-changers for traffic management
The government claims that both these projects will prove to be game-changers for traffic management in Delhi-NCR. While Dwarka Expressway will be a big support for passengers, UER-II will reduce traffic pressure from congested areas. Along with this, economic activities will also get a new momentum.
