Mahakumbh 2025: Infinite flow of devotion at Sangam, so far 54 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in Mahakumbh

On Monday, all the roads leading to Sangam were jam packed with the crowd of devotees. The waves of devotion kept on rising till late night in unison for taking a holy dip in the Amritmayi Triveni. The fair administration claimed that 1.35 crore devotees had taken a dip till 8 PM yesterday Monday February 17, 2025

The flow of faith and devotion for Amrit Snan in Maha Kumbh is continuously increasing. On Monday late evening, lakhs of devotees reached Sangam again. Day and night, there was a continuous flow of devotees at railway stations and bus stands. A wave of people was seen everywhere on the roads leading to Sangam.

On Monday February 16 , 2025 all the roads leading to Sangam were jam packed with the crowd of devotees. The waves of devotion kept on rising till night in a rhythm for holy dip in Amritmayi Triveni. The fair administration claimed that 1.35 crore devotees had taken a dip till 8 pm. So far, a total of 54.31 crore devotees have taken a dip in Sangam in Maha Kumbh.

When there was no space left on all the 10 platforms of Prayagraj Junction, the entry of passengers at this railway station was stopped for hours. All routes had to be made one way. Apart from Andawa, Naini and Phaphamau, the crowd was controlled by barricading in three phases on the route of Kokhraaj. The fair administration kept appealing to avoid crowding on the ghats.

On the ghats of Sangam, bathers were seen everywhere. People kept moving towards Sangam with bundles on their heads and bags on their shoulders. People kept taking dips throughout the day amidst loud slogans of Jai Ganga Maiya, Har-Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram. Amidst the crowd, the people of the city also left no stone unturned in helping and serving the devotees on the roads leading to Sangam. Police and administration officers are being extra vigilant for crowd management. Amidst the waves of faith and devotion, there was no space left anywhere from Sangam to the city. When the roads were packed, people turned to the streets to make their way to Sangam.
