In Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, till 12 noon on Saturday i.e. 22 February, 71.18 lakh people have taken bath in a day. During the entire Maha Kumbh, more than 59.31 crore people have taken bath so far. If we add today’s figures, then this figure has crossed 60 crores.

Crowd increased further in the last phase
The crowd in trains has increased further in the last phase of Maha Kumbh. There was a scramble for seats in trains going to Prayagraj at Moradabad railway station. On Friday, all trains including Nauchandi, Link, Sangam Express were jam packed. No seat was left vacant even in special trains. In such a situation, the Railways can run more special trains for Prayagraj till February 26.

DGP gave these instructions regarding Mahashivratri
DGP Prashant Kumar said that such points have been identified on the seven major routes coming towards the district where there is a jam or the speed of vehicles slows down due to high traffic pressure. Seven senior police officers have been deployed at these points. These officers will handle the traffic system of their respective routes and coordinate with the higher officials to make the movement of devotees in the district smooth. He said that a detailed discussion has also been held with the officers of Mela and Prayagraj Commissionerate Police on Friday regarding traffic management.

No rooms in most hotels of the city till February 27
The last bath of Maha Kumbh is on February 26, but most of the hotels in the city are already booked till February 27. Almost the same situation is with the tent city built in Arail. On an average, more than one crore devotees are reaching Prayagraj every day. In such a situation, hotels, homestays and luxury cottages built in the fair area of Prayag Raj are pre-booked till February 26. IRCTC Regional Manager Ajit Sinha said that the booking in the tent city of Arail is full till 28th. President of Prayagraj Hotels and Restaurant Welfare Association Harjinder Singh says that more pilgrims than expected have reached Prayagraj in Maha Kumbh. Most of the hotels are full till Mahashivratri. Hotel businessman Yogesh Goyal says that due to some restrictions, people are facing difficulty in reaching the hotel, but there is no lack in their enthusiasm.

More crowd expected in five days, arrangements like Maghi
In view of the possibility of crowd in the last five days of Maha Kumbh, the Chief Secretary and DGP inspected the preparations at Sangam on Friday. Officers said – There will be arrangements like Vasant Panchami and Maghi Purnima on Mahashivratri as well. In view of the pressure of vehicles, the government has deployed seven senior officers. Only five days are left for the conclusion of Maha Kumbh. The weekly holiday in these is Saturday and Sunday. Mahashivratri bathing festival is on Wednesday. Before the arrival of CM on 22nd, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, DGP Prashant Kumar inspected the fair area on Friday. Said, keeping in mind that people should not face inconvenience, instructions have also been given to make some changes in the system. Instructions have been given to change the traffic system on the main routes coming towards Prayagraj along with the fair area. Additional officers have been deployed in the border areas of the district.
