Mahakumbh Stampede: Amrit Snan of Akharas has started in Mahakumbh. After the stampede that happened earlier, the Akhara Parishad had first refused to take Amrit Snan. However, later after the situation became normal, the Akharas decided that they would participate in Amrit Snan. Now flowers are being showered from helicopters on the saints going to Sangam for bathing. Now 13 Akharas will take Amrit Snan one after the other.
Let us inform you that more than 10 people have died in the stampede at Sangam Nose in Prayagraj late last night (28 January). Many people have also been injured in this incident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, at present the situation in the Sangam area has become normal, but a huge crowd of devotees is present there to take bath in the Maha Kumbh. It is estimated that about 10 crore devotees will take a holy dip today alone
Let us also inform you that till now around 20 crore people have taken a dip in the Ganga in the Maha Kumbh which started on January 13. Today i.e. on Wednesday January 29, 2025 , on Mauni Amavasya, more than 10 crore devotees are expected to reach.
