Maharashtra Election 2024: BJP has complained to the Central Election Commission on reservation and election statements by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. On Monday November 11, 2024 the BJP has demanded from the Election Commission that Rahul Gandhi should be stopped from campaigning and instructions should be given to register an FIR against him.
Rahul Gandhi had recently accused the BJP of not giving reservation to SC, ST category people in election rallies. He had said that “In many industries and jobs, people from SC, ST community are not seen, people from minority community are also not seen, and people coming from poor sections also do not get opportunities.”
Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi had also said in his statement that “If you want a job, become an RSS worker, then you will get a job anywhere, whether you have any qualification or not.” BJP has also demanded strict action from the Election Commission regarding this statement.
BJP cited another statement of Rahul Gandhi, in which he had alleged that many industries are being shifted from Maharashtra to Gujarat, due to which the youth are not getting employment opportunities. Rahul Gandhi had said, “The factories in which the youth should have got employment have been snatched away from you, your land is being snatched away.”
The complaint given to the Election Commission also mentioned other allegations of Rahul Gandhi, in which he accused the ED, CBI and the Election Commission of working at the behest of the government. Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the BJP was pressurising the Election Commission and trying to topple the government using the ED and CBI.
The BJP has demanded from the Election Commission that action should be taken against Rahul Gandhi for such statements, because through this he is not only influencing the electoral process but also insulting the constitutional institutions of the country.
The results of Maharashtra Election 2024 will be declared on November 23, 2024
