An old bridge built on the Indrayani river near Kundmal in Talegaon area of ​​Pune suddenly collapsed due to heavy rains strong flow , causing a major accident. The administration fears that about 20 to 25 people were swept away in the river in the accident . As many as 5 people died in the accident. It is being told that this bridge was in a dilapidated condition for some time and was already closed for vehicles, but due to heavy rains and rising water level in the river, many people came to this bridge and were watching the rising water level.

As soon as the incident was reported, teams of local police and district administration started relief and rescue operations. Search operation is being carried out in the river with the help of divers. A huge crowd has gathered at the spot and there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. The administration has appealed to the people not to gather unnecessarily around the river and the situation is being closely monitored.

It is being reported that the bridge was closed 2-3 months ago because of battered condition. So far 6 people have been rescued. 15 ambulances are present at the spot. Police said that a bridge collapsed on the Indrayani river near Kundmal village under Pimpri-Chinchwad police station. 20 to 25 people are feared to be trapped. 5 to 6 people have been rescued as of now .
