The whole country is angry over the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in the capital of West Bengal. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over this matter. This issue has now become so heated that leaders have started threatening each other.
On Bengal Bandh, CM Mamata Banerjee said that if you try to set fire in Bengal, then fire will break out everywhere. She said, “Some people think that this is Bangladesh… I like Bangladesh, people there talk like us. The culture of Bangladesh and Bengal is the same, but remember that Bangladesh is a different country and India is a different country. Modi Babu, you are asking your party to set fire. Remember that if you set fire in Bengal, then Assam will also not sit quiet. The northeastern states will also not stop… Neither Uttar Pradesh, nor Bihar, nor Odisha will stop. Delhi will also not sit quiet… We will shake your chair.”
Battle begins on the streets between BJP and TMC workers
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has responded to the statement of the West Bengal Chief Minister. He posted on Instagram and said, “Didi, how dare you threaten Assam? Don’t show us red eyes. Don’t even try to burn India with your politics of failure. It does not befit you to speak divisive language.” During the Bengal bandh, a battle broke out on the streets between BJP and TMC workers in Kolkata. During the protest, BJP workers alleged that the police were detaining their workers at the behest of TMC people.
