Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court of Uttar Pradesh has given a major decision on the bail plea of a husband who is in jail. The court has ordered a test of the husband’s virility. Actually, his wife had committed suicide due to not having a child. The young man had said that his wife was infertile.
This case is from Garhmukteshwar police station area of Hapur district of UP. The petitioner is lodged in Hapur jail on charges of harassing his wife for dowry and instigating her to commit suicide. He had filed a bail petition in Allahabad High Court for his release.
During the hearing in the court, the petitioner had argued that his wife was depressed due to not having a child. Due to which she committed suicide. The court was not satisfied with this argument of the petitioner. The High Court also made a harsh comment on this.
HC said that the reason for not having a child is not always the wife, but also the husband. Therefore, the husband’s virility should be tested. Now the court has ordered the government to test the petitioner’s virility within 10 days to verify this fact. After the investigation, the report will be presented in the court. The next hearing of this case will be on November 12 next month.
