Raipur: Bhilai MLA and then Mayor Devendra Yadav has been granted bail in the case of obstruction in government work and violent protest during the assembly siege. The case was heard in the court of Judge Neeru Singh in the 10th Additional Sessions Court of Raipur District Court.
On July 15, 2016, the Congress had organiszed a program to siege the assembly. In this movement, when the police stopped Devendra and other Congress workers from proceeding, there was a scuffle and jostling with the police. An FIR was registered in this case at Pandri police station. In this case, the police presented the challan on 31 August 2018.
According to the information received, in 2016, Congress had surrounded the assembly. During this, there was a clash between Congress leaders and the police. MLA Devendra Yadav was also made an accused in this clash, but the police declared him absconding. The case was pending since then.
While hearing the case on Friday September 27 , the 10th Additional Sessions Court of Raipur has granted bail to MLA Devendra Yadav. Even after getting bail, MLA Yadav will remain in jail. This is because he is accused of inciting violence in Balodabazar violence and he has been in jail for the last one and a half months in this case.
Let us tell you that even after getting bail, he will not be released. Devendra Yadav is currently in jail on judicial remand in the violence case in Balodabazar.
