MP Brijmohan Agrawal met PM Modi along with his wife Sarita and both sons, daughter and son-in-law. He said that we invited the PM to come to our son’s wedding and took his blessings. The PM, who is full of affection, love, intimacy and belongingness, felt like our guardian and elder brother. He is very simple and easy going and full of human sensibilities.
In an another X post, Brijmohan Agarwal wrote that, today the family members closely observed the parliamentary proceedings in the temple of democracy, Parliament House. It is a symbol of the power and dignity of our democracy. This experience was not only inspiring for the family, but also a wonderful opportunity to understand the depth of our democratic system. It was a proud moment for them to see the decisions being made here for the development of our country and the welfare of the people. The family members felt the dignity of Indian democracy by visiting this historic place.
Brijmohan Agarwal, who was elected MP from Raipur seat in Lok Sabha elections 2024, was elected MLA from Raipur South seat in 2023. He was made a cabinet minister in the Vishnu Deo Sai government. First in the assembly and then in the Lok Sabha elections, Brijmohan Agarwal has won consecutive elections with the biggest lead in the state. He has been elected MLA 8 times in a row. In the assembly elections, Brijmohan has won with the highest number of votes in the state. He defeated Congress candidate Mahant Ramsundar Das by a margin of 67919 votes. Brijmohan Agarwal, who has done post graduation in both Commerce and Arts, has also obtained LLB degree.
Brijmohan Agrawal became MLA for the first time in 1990
Brijmohan Agrawal, who was elected MLA for the first time in 1990, started his political career from BJP’s student wing ABVP. He has been the college student union president and state vice-president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in undivided Madhya Pradesh. Apart from being a state minister in undivided Madhya Pradesh, he has been a cabinet minister thrice in the Chhattisgarh government. He has also been the chief whip in the house of the BJP legislative party. By organising Rajim Kumbh Mela in Rajim, he has brought fame to Rajim Kumbh at the world level.
