Dehradun: On the wedding night, the groom took the aphrodisiac drug Viagra and had unnatural sex with the bride. Troubled by this act of her husband, the wife has complained to the police. In the complaint, the woman has accused her in-laws of dowry harassment along with unnatural sex.

According to media reports, the incident is from Dehradun Kotwali area. The victim’s husband is now facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including unnatural sex relations, based on his wife’s complaint. The victim further claimed that she returned to her maternal home for a few days and upon returning to her in-laws’ house, her husband repeated the non-consensual acts against her will. When she protested, he resorted to physical violence and mentally tortured her.

The woman endured these circumstances for a long time in an attempt to protect her family. However, when the situation became unbearable, she got upset and attempted suicide by cutting her wrist on February 27, just 20 days after her marriage. Her husband, realizing the gravity of the situation, admitted her to the hospital, where her life was saved. The victim has now lodged a complaint against the accused husband with the police and filed a case under various sections including unnatural sex.
