This ‘Kanwar’ pilgrimage was started under the leadership of Pandaria MLA Bhavna Bohra for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh and the well-being of the state and in 7 days, crossing dense forests, mountains, rugged paths, overflowing rivers and heavy rains, it was completed with the anointing Lord Shiva by water in Dongaria Mahadev and Bhoramdev temple.

All the obstacles were crossed by Pandaria MLA Bhavna Bohra and the Kanwariyas walking step by step with her and every day a new energy, joy and enthusiasm was seen in this pilgrimage which started with a sacred resolution in the mind and immense faith in Lord Shiva .

By completing the 151 km journey, Bhavna Bohra and all the Kanwariyas with her have definitely proved that if you have strong determination and will power along with devotion and faith in the mind, you can fulfill all your goals and resolutions.

This journey will set an example in itself in Chhattisgarh. This is the first time that a woman public representative has undertaken a difficult journey of 151 km for the well-being of the state and its people and has also given a message of women empowerment.

On the last day of the pilgrimage , Pandaria MLA Bhavna Bohra and Kanwar pilgrims started their journey from Bodla at 7 o’clock in the morning and reached Bhoramdev temple at 12 noon. During this, thousands of Shiva devotees, social and Hindu organisations, BJP officials, workers and people of the area welcomed them grandly by showering flowers in Bodla. With the slogans of Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam, the entire Kawardha was immersed in Shiva devotion and turned saffron.

During the pilgrimage more than 5000 Shiva devotees welcomed them grandly on their arrival at the Bhoramdev temple.

Everyone welcomed Bhavna Bohra and the Kanwar pilgrims who came with her with drums, devotional songs and flower showers.

This is the first occasion when such a huge crowd of devotees reached Bhoramdev temple where people wholeheartedly praised Bhavna Bohra and the Kanwariyas walking with her for the Kanwar Yatra from Amarkantak to Bhoramdev.

This Kanwar pilgrimage started from Maa Narmada Temple Amarkantak and ended at Bhoramdev Temple via Lamhani, Van Gram Mahamai, Khudia, Gaurkampa, Pandaria, Mohtara, Pandatarai, Dongaria Mahadev, Bodla. During this, Bhandara and Mahaprasadi distribution was also organised in Bhoramdev temple in which more than 5000 Shiva devotees took the Prasad.

On this occasion, MLA Bhavna Bohra also welcomed the devotees and Kanwar pilgrims who came to pay visit Bhoramdev temple and distributed Prasad.

Bhavna Bohra said that this moment is full of pride and emotions for me which I will remember for life long . With the blessings of Lord Bholenath and Maa Narmada and with the immense love, affection and support of the Shiva devotees and Kanwar pilgrims of Kabirdham district, this journey has been completed today, for which I express my heartfelt gratitude to all.

I especially thank the state’s Hon’ble Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and the Assembly Speaker Hon’ble Dr. Raman Singh who encouraged all of us by talking on the phone during the journey and wished us a safe journey.

This is a moment of great pride for me, we started this pilgrimage from Monday July 21, 2025 with the resolve and wish for the peace and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh .

I express my gratitude to all those who participated in this holy journey.

Along with this, the affection, love and grand and warm welcome given by all of you, my family members of Kabirdham district, members of all social and Hindu organisations, BJP officials, workers, youth and women front, and the people of the area gave new energy to our journey every day. During this time, the devotion of Lord Bholenath and Mother Narmada gave us constant strength to face the dense forests, mountains, rugged paths, overflowing rivers and heavy rains. We got a very important lesson from this journey that no goal is impossible with true devotion and determination. Shravan month is a unique confluence of faith, discipline and service where every devotee remains immersed in the devotion of Lord Bholenath with faith in Mahadev, while Kanwar Yatra is such a tradition, which is a unique confluence of devotion, dedication and social unity. It not only shows our loyalty towards Lord Shiva, but also connects us with the values of humanity, environmental protection and self-purification.

Every citizen of entire Chhattisgarh including Pandaria Assembly is a member of my family. Wishing them happiness and prosperity and serving them is our priority. In the past years, I got the opportunity to visit different areas of the state and connect with the people there. During this time, people everywhere gave me a lot of love and respect like their own family member .

We made this pilgrimage to express our gratitude for the respect to the people of the State . I believe that the people of the entire state have supported us directly and indirectly for this holy journey of ours and I will continue to get the support and guidance of all of you in the future too.

This Kanwar Yatra has not only been a physical journey but also a spiritual journey. It teaches self-restraint, patience and perseverance to the devotees. I will always keep the experiences gained from this journey in my conduct and will continue to fulfill my responsibilities to serve every needy person and to spread Sanatan culture and religious tradition. I want to say to all of you Shiva devotees and especially the youth that let us cherish this glorious heritage of Sanatan culture and strengthen our faith and unity through holy events like Kanwar Yatra.
