Patriotic songs resonated on Republic Day. The “Fun Fair” added to the festive atmosphere at Pragati College , Choubey Colony

Raipur: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated at Pragati College , Choubey Colony on January 26 with great enthusiasm and fanfare . The program began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Principal of the College Dr. Soumya Nayyar followed by the singing of the national anthem by the facultity members and students .

The college principal, Dr. Soumya Nayyar, stated, “Our country is great, and we are proud to be citizens of this nation. Let us all work together to build an India that provides equal opportunities for all and becomes a symbol of peace and progress in the world.”

Students presented a cultural program, which included patriotic songs, poems, and speeches that captivated everyone. However, the main attraction this year was the “Fun Fair” organised in the college grounds. The program concluded with the distribution of sweets.

After the formal program, the college campus transformed into a vibrant fair. Students set up various stalls, including food stalls offering popular dishes such as Bhel Puri, Chaat, Raj Kachori, Lassi, Biryani, Chinese Pakoras, Veg Cutlets, Kulfi, and tea served in traditional clay cups. These stalls attracted a large crowd of parents and students.

The game zone, with games like “Ring Toss,” “Gun Shot,” and “Lucky Draw,” entertained both children and adults alike.

The objective of this fun fair was to promote entrepreneurship and teamwork among the students. On this occasion, students participated in various games and competitions.

The students showcased their talents at the fun fair, and everyone together made this day a memorable one.
