PM Modi’s Brunei Visit: Crown Prince gives a royal welcome to PM Modi in Brunei,

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for a two-day visit to Brunei. PM Modi is going to visit Brunei Darussalam on the invitation of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of the East Asian country Brunei

The purpose of PM Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Brunei is to increase mutual relations between the two countries in various fields. Before PM Modi’s visit, the Ministry of External Affairs had issued a statement on Friday and said that Brunei is an important partner in terms of India’s Act East Policy and the vision of Indo-Pacific. Brunei has oil and natural gas reserves. Currently, India is importing hydrocarbons from Brunei. Along with this, it is trying to increase the supply of natural gas. It is expected that the issue of natural gas can also be discussed during PM Modi’s visit. Apart from this, India has invested $ 270 million in Brunei’s hydrocarbon sector and during PM Modi’s visit, there can be a discussion on increasing it further. Along with this, there can be a discussion on increasing cooperation between India and Brunei in areas like space technology, health, maritime security and regional stability.
