Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba, the mastermind of the conversion syndicate in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh, and his associate Neetu alias Nasreen were sent to jail. Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba, the mastermind of the conversion syndicate in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh, and his associate Neetu alias Nasreen were sent to jail. The seven-day police custody of both of them ended today on Wednesday July 16, 2025 . The UP ATS lodged both the accused in the district jail after medical examination. Surprisingly, the ATS did not file any application to extend the remand. The investigating agency is engaged in further investigation on the basis of evidence found so far.

While going to jail after medical examination in the hospital, Changur Baba declared himself innocent. He said, “I am innocent, I don’t know anything.” But UP ATS has got important clues related to the secret basements built in Changur Baba’s mansion. The conspiracy of conversion was hatched in these basements. It is feared that as soon as the basements are opened, many such secrets will come to light which will expose the layers of the nationwide syndicate. This is the reason why lie detector and narco test of both are being considered.

Will lie detector test expose the truth?

In polygraph test, i.e. lie detector test, while asking questions to the accused, their physical reactions are recorded. Such as heartbeat, blood pressure, breathing speed and muscle movement. If the accused lies, the machine catches it. If Changur Baba and his confidante Nasreen try to dodge this test, then ATS can also get a narco test done. However, the fact that police remand is not sought for both of them shows that solid evidence has been obtained.

Victims are revealing the secret of the basements

Victims of the conversion syndicate are constantly coming forward. The statements given by these victims are shocking. They say that Changur Baba had built several basements in his mansion, where girls were kept captive. They were forcibly converted there. The presence of Maulanas from Dubai has also been reported in these basements. During interrogation, Nasreen has confessed that huge funding was received from abroad in the name of propagating Islam. Crores of rupees have been received.

100 crores of funding, Islamic agenda

When the ATS asked where these hundreds of crores of rupees came from, Changur said, “All came for propagating Islam.” But when asked about the accounting of the money, he said, “I don’t know, everything is in the laptop.” After this, Nasreen revealed that the laptop was kept in a secret room of Changur’s mansion. This laptop is likely to contain data related to funding, agent network and the entire list of victim girls. Maulanas called from Dubai used to train the agents.

What is the next strategy of UP ATS?

The Uttar Pradesh ATS is eyeing Changur Baba’s laptop and basements. The investigating agency hopes that through secret rooms and digital evidence, the entire structure of this mafia model of conversion will be exposed. Along with this, through polygraph and narco test, those names can also be exposed who are still behind the scenes.

ATS is no longer seeing this case limited to only one person or mansion. Changur Baba’s network, foreign funding and Maulana connection can give a new direction.
