Pragati College becomes champion in both the categories in inter-college badminton competition

On the second day of the inter-college sector level badminton competition organised by Pragati College, Choubey Colony under the aegis of the Higher Education Department, which was held in the badminton hall of Sapre School, Pragati College emerged as champions in both men’s and women’s categories due to its strong performance.

Raipur : On Wednesday September 11 , the first quarter final match in the men’s category was played between Pragati College and Government Science College Raipur in which Pragati College won the math by 3-0.

In the second quarter final match, Vivekanand College was defeated by Sankaracharya College by 3-2.

In the first semi-final match of the men’s category, UTD Raipur defeated Sankaracharya College by 3-1. on the other hand in the semi-final match of the men’s category, Pragati College defeated Netaji Subhash Chandra College Abhanpur by 3-0 and entered the final.

In the final match of the men’s category, Rudra Mani Yadav of Pragati College defeated Himanshu of UTD by 2-0 and in the second singles match, Lukesh Yadav of Pragati College defeated Mandhata of UTD by 2-0 and won the title.

In the women’s final, Pragati College defeated Degree Girls College by 2-0 and secured the first position. Tanya Mallick, Aarti Sahitya, and Rakhi Sahu of Pragati College displayed excellent game.
The winners were honoured with trophies and certificates.

Moreover the players were selected on the basis of performances they delivered of both the categories who will participate in the state level tournament to be held in Bhilai on September 23-24 .
