Pragati College, Raipur Celebrates Green Day with the aim of a green earth.

Earth can remain green only when the environment is clean . The imbalance of environment is the result of today’s circumstances. The earth drenched in pollution is going through a period of disaster .

Let us create a clean environment”. With this objective, Green Army Raipur, Chhattisgarh in collaboration with Pragati College , Raipur , Chhattisgarh organised a training program on the role of youth in environmental protection.

The program got started with the performing Puja of the Goddess of knowledge Maa saraswati with lightning lamp, garlanding and a string of beads 

    While addressing the students and teachers Principal of the College Dr. Soumya Nayyar said where there is the nature , there is the life. We can keep the environment alive and real only if the environment is safe. It is the main responsibility of all of us to protect the environment. The role of youth in environmental protection is described as very important.

    The main spokesperson of this program, Pt. Vineet Sharma explained the importance of environmental protection in detail. Under environmental protection, completely stop the use of polythene and abandon plastic items. And plant as many trees as possible to conserve the water. Every student must plant a tree in the name of mother for the protection of environment he said that instead of spreading garbage here and there we should perform Yagna and havana( both terms are used for a Hindu fire ceremony that involves offering substances to a sacred fire while chanting Mantras )

    During the program, the Principal of the college Dr. Soumya Nayyar, Head of the Education Department Dr. K.N. Gajpal, Shri Pandit Vineet Sharma (Green Army Incharge), Shri Vijay Hirikar (President), Shri Santosh Agarwal and all the professors and students of the Education Department were present.
