Fire broke out in 2 vehicles in Prayagraj
Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the cars parked on the main road. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. As of now, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
Prayagraj: A massive fire broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj during the early hours of Saturday. The fire engulfed two parked vehicles on the main road leading to Maha Kumbh Mela, causing panic among locals in the area.
Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the cars. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. As of now, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
“We received information that a fire broke out in a Maruti Ertiga car at around 6.30 am. Six fire brigades and water tenders were sent immediately and the fire was controlled. No one was harmed in the fire,” said Fire Officer Vishal Yadav.
“…Devotees are coming from far-flung areas and have parked their vehicles here. The fire broke out due to extreme heat…The Ertiga car is completely burnt and the Venue car is partially burnt,” he said.
Earlier on January 19, a fire broke out in the Kumbh Mela fair ground’s Sector 19, gutting 18 camps.
