Delhi New: President Draupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal and has appointed Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Along with this, the President has also approved the appointment of five ministers.
Atishi will take oath as Chief Minister along with five cabinet ministers (Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Irman Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat) on Saturday September 21 at 4.30 pm. Earlier, Atishi had met the LG and staked claim to form the new government. Before that Arvind Kejriwal had proposed to make Delhi Minister Atishi the next Chief Minister in his place. Kejriwal’s proposal was unanimously accepted by the AAP MLAs.
