New Delhi : Congress leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge have written a joint letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a special session of Parliament.

In this letter, both the leaders have expressed the need to discuss serious issues like the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched by the government, and the ceasefire declared by America.

The letter said that these incidents are not only related to the internal security and foreign policy of the country, but national consensus and transparency is also necessary on them. He requested that Parliament be taken into confidence and detailed discussions be held on these important issues.

Congress leaders believe that Parliament is the highest forum in democracy where open debate on such issues strengthens policy making. He also mentioned that the countrymen should get transparency and clear information about the government’s intentions in these matters.
