Chhattisgarh Health Secretary Amit Kataria held a review meeting of Nehru Medical College and Ambedkar Hospital, gave instructions to complete the construction work of the mortuary house soon-Photo – Arrangements
Raipur : In a review meeting here on Thursday January 30, 2025 Health Secretary Kataria gathered information from the officials about the ongoing and proposed construction works for the upgradation of the medical college and hospital. Dean Dr. Vivek Chaudhary gave a brief introduction of the medical college and presented the departmental budget and income-expenditure account.
The Health Secretary was informed about the facilities and requirements available in various departments. He informed that the construction work of resident quarters and hostels in the government land obtained from the Forest Department, beautification of the outer part of the 1500 seater auditorium building of the medical college and the construction work of G Plus Two to G Plus Seven Cancer Hospital under the hospital expansion work is already proposed, which is to be started under the civil work of the Public Works Department. Besides , Dr. Choudhary gave information about the budget and updated status of the work for the maintenance work of AC installed in the medical college building, electrification work in the campus, CCTV camera installation work and fire fighting electric works. In the meeting, the Health Secretary directed the CGMSC officials to complete the mortuary upgradation and expansion work within a fixed time frame. Along with this, for the much awaited L-2 Trauma Care Centre, the Public Works Department officials and the Trauma Construction Committee were asked to complete the necessary process as soon as possible .
Ambedkar Hospital Superintendent Dr. Santosh Sonkar, while presenting the action plan for the next four years in the meeting, informed the Health Secretary that a road is to be built next to the Cardiology Department for garbage management of the hospital, fire extinguishers are to be removed from SNCU and ICU.
