Raipur: Amid rising crime in the capital, the SSP suddenly went on patrol at late night. During this, he inspected many major police stations of the city. The SSP visited Thana Mana, Ganj, Crime Office and Civil Line police stations and took stock of night patrolling, Pandri bus stand and other check points.
During this inspection, on the instructions of the SSP, a special SP crack team conducted a thorough investigation of the bars and restaurants open on VIP Road. The special team checked the bars and restaurants that were open beyond the time limit and several hotels and restaurants, including Florence, Sheetal Juke, Desi That, FTB, and Sky Lounge.
The managers and others of all these outlets were brought to the police station and action was taken against them under the Excise Act and other restrictive measures when they were found involved in illegal activities. During the action, CSP Civil Line Anurag Jha and CSP Azad Chowk Aman Jha kept checking till late night with the police force.
