Officials discussing about giving a grand look to Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2025-Photo-By Arrangements
Gariaband- Rajim Kumbh Kalp 2025: An important meeting regarding the organisation of Rajim Kumbh Kalp 2025 was held today opn Monday January 13, 2025 at the Circuit House in Rajim.
Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu, Raipur Division Commissioner Mahadev Kavre, Collector Deepak Agarwal along with senior officials of Dhamtari, Mahasamund and Raipur including Gariaband district attended the meeting. In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various topics to organise the Rajim Kumbh Kalp-2025 in a grand manner.
This time Rajim Kumbh Kalp will be organised in the new fair site spread over an area of about 52 acres. All facilities will be ensured for the visitors at the new fair site. Main stages will be built there. Along with this, shops, departmental stalls and Meena Bazaar will also be set up. Parking will also be made on a large scale for the convenience of the people. Besides , a helipad will also be built.
MLA Rohit Sahu, Division Commissioner Kavre and Collector Agarwal were present in the meeting to review the preparations for Rajim Kumbh Kalp and directed to start all the work soon and complete it within the time limit. MLA Rohit Sahu directed to ensure all the arrangements to organise Rajim Kumbh Kalp -2025 in a grand manner. Divisional Commissioner Kavre directed the officials of Raipur, Mahasamund, Dhamtari and Gariaband district to complete all the preparations by coordinating regarding the fair. Also, Collector Agarwal directed the district officials to ensure the responsibilities given regarding making the Raim Kumbh a Huge event with promptness.
During the meeting , former MP Chandulal Sahu, former MLA Santosh Upadhyay, Deputy Director Culture and Archaeology Department Pratapchand Parikh and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Roads will be built to connect the fair site – In the meeting, Divisional Commissioner Kavre told that Rajim Mela will be organised from 12 to 26 February 2025. A connecting road will be constructed along the river bank from Ganga Aarti Sthal to the new fair site, which will facilitate the movement of devotees. The work was made the responsibility of PWD officials to carry on with promptness . Also, instructions were given to ensure ghat construction, repair and cleanliness should be around.
Saint gathering and Ganga Aarti will be held at the old site –
It was told in the meeting that only Saint gathering and Ganga Aarti will be organised at the old site. Apart from this, all the events and activities will be organised at the new fair site. No temporary shop will be allowed at the old site. All temporary shops will be set up at the new site. Divisional Commissioner Kavre directed to prepare the necessary action plan for the tender process for the Meena Bazaar and parking space to be set up at the new site. He said that the allotment of shops will be done by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of SDM. Instructions were given to start preparations for this as well.
Responsibilities assigned to the departments –
For the preparation of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa-2025 – the Public Health Engineering Department was instructed to complete the preparations of drinking water supply, construction of temporary toilets, pipeline and water tank in time. Along with this, the Health Department was instructed to ensure adequate ambulances and other medical facilities including temporary hospital. Similarly, the Electricity Department was directed to make arrangements for lighting, decoration with lighting on bridges, tower lights at the fair site and lights in the parking area etc.
The Forest Department was directed to make arrangements for bamboo poles, firewood, and grass for building huts for the sages. The Food Department was directed to open adequate number of Daal Bhaat Centres at the new fair site. The Police Department was directed to make arrangements for adequate security, CCTV, control room, fire brigade etc. The Urban Administration Department was directed to make arrangements for cleanliness, garbage disposal, adequate number of dustbins, and painting and cleaning of temples and religious places, Raipur Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Karve added .
