Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela: Temporary city is being built in Sangam, thousands of saints and Nagas will participate; Kalpawash will begin from Wednesday February 12 , 2025 to Wednesday February 26, 2025
Thousands of saints and sages come from various places to Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela. Every year thousands of Naga sadhus and other saints come and participate in the special festival bath and saint gathering.
A 15-day fair is held every year from Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri in the holy religious town of Triveni Sangam Rajim, located in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. Rajim is the confluence of three rivers, so it is also called Triveni Sangam. Mainly three rivers flow here, whose names are Mahanadi, Pairi River and Sondhur respectively. Kuleshwar Mahadev ji is seated at the confluence. Rajim fair was celebrated as Rajiv Lochan Mahotsav by the state government since the year 2001. Since the year 2005, it is being celebrated in a more grand manner as Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela.
This event is organised under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Government’s Religious Endowments and Tourism Department and the local organising committee. The fair begins with Kalpawash. Devotees start the Panchkosi Yatra a fortnight in advance. In the Panchkosi Yatra, devotees visit Pateshwar, Fingeshwar, Brahmaneshwar, Kopeshwar and Champeshwar Nath on foot and have darshan and light a Dhuni. The 101 km long journey ends and the fair begins on Magh Purnima.

In this fair held every year, lakhs of devotees from different states come and consider their lives blessed by visiting Lord Shri Rajiv Lochan and Shri Kuleshwar Nath Mahadev Ji. People believe that the journey to Lord Jagannathpuri is not considered complete until Lord Shri Rajiv Lochan and Shri Kuleshwar Nath are visited. Rajim Kumbh Kalpa Mela has its own special significance in the region.
Rajim is a small town with a special significance in itself. Rajim is a tehsil of Gariaband district. Rajim is famous for its archaeology and ancient civilisations since ancient times. Rajim is mainly famous for the temple of Lord Shri Rajiv Lochan Ji. This temple of Rajim is of the 8th century. There is also a temple of Kuleshwar Mahadev ji here, which is situated at the confluence site. This fair in Rajim runs every year from Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri. During this time, various cultural and religious programs are organized by the administration.
