Chhattisgarh’s Prayag Rajim is ready to welcome Kumbh Kalpa – Chief Minister Say
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa and Shivrinarayan Fair, said that the Rajim Kumbh Kalpa, starting from February 12 at the Triveni Sangam of Mahanadi, Pairi and Sondur rivers, is not only a symbol of the spiritual consciousness of Chhattisgarh but is also a live confluence of its rich culture and traditions.
Chief Minister Sai said that Rajim, which is called ‘Prayag of Chhattisgarh’, has been a center of faith for devotees and saint society for centuries. The state government has reestablished the Rajim Maghi Punni fair in its original form and named it “Rajim Kumbh Kalpa”. This is not just a religious event, but an important effort to preserve and promote the glorious cultural and spiritual heritage of Chhattisgarh.
He said that Prayag of Chhattisgarh is ready to welcome Rajim Kumbh Kalpa. In Rajim Kumbh Kalpa, saints’ gathering, religious discourses, various colors of folk culture and a unique glimpse of spiritual consciousness will be seen. In this event, devotees from Chhattisgarh as well as the surrounding states will participate in large numbers and earn virtue benefits.
Chief Minister Sai said that on the occasion of Magh Purnima, a fair is organised at the holy confluence of Mahanadi, Shivnath and Jonk rivers in Shivrinarayan, which is a symbol of devotion and faith. He said that Rajim Kumbh Kalp and Shivrinarayan Mela are not only important from religious and cultural point of view, but these events also play an important role in strengthening the rich traditions and spiritual consciousness of the state.
The Chief Minister has appealed to the devotees to participate in these festivals of faith in large numbers and wished happiness, prosperity and auspicious life for all.
