Raipur: The Chhattisgarh High Court has given a big decision on the recruitment process of Police Force Constable Cadre 2023-24. Under this process, recruitment was to be done for the posts of constables in various districts of the state. But now it has been stopped. Police officials at Raipur Mana Police Training Camp said that recruitment process has been stopped after the order of the High Court.

The matter of constable police recruitment was heard in the single bench of Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey in the High Court. Petitioner Bedaram Tandon had filed this petition. He alleges that the rules in the recruitment process were changed and exemption was given only to the children of police department employees and ex-servicemen, which led to discrimination against general candidates. This exemption was given under clause 9(5) of the Recruitment Rules 2007, but it was not applied to all candidates. We requested the court that this is discriminatory.
The recruitment process for the posts of constable cadre 2023-24 has been stopped in all the districts of the state. The recruitment process in Raipur Mana PTS ( Police Training School ) has been postponed after the High Court’s order. This decision has come as a big shock to all those candidates who had come to give the physical test at Raipur Mana Camp in Raipur today on Wednesday November 27, 2024 . As soon as the order of the Hon’ble Court comes, the further recruitment process will be expedited in compliance with it, police official said .
