Remo D’Souza defrauded a dance group of Rs 12 crore, police filed a case against 7 people including his wife Lizelle

Remo Dsouza in Fraud Case: 7 people including Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza have been accused of fraud. Mumbai Police has registered a fraud case against all of them. The choreographer is accused of fraud of Rs 11.96 crore. A case has been registered against Remo and his wife Lizelle D’Souza for cheating a dance group of Rs 11.96 crore.

An official said that a 26-year-old dancer has made these allegations against Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle and five others. The victim dancer lodged her complaint at Mira Road Police Station in Mumbai on October 16. Police have registered a case against Remo D’Souza and 6 other people under Sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the FIR, the complainant and his associates were allegedly cheated between 2018 and July 2024. The dance troupe had performed and won a television show. It is alleged that the accused allegedly showed that the group was theirs and grabbed the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore. The other accused in the case are Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman and Ramesh Gupta, the official said. He said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
