The opposition alliance may bring a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Sources said that more than 50 MPs have signed this proposal.

Sources said that more than 50 MPs have signed this proposal. This decision was taken in view of the way Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar handled the proceedings and his confrontation with opposition leaders. Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and members of the opposition alliance are together to move forward with this proposal.

Leaders of the opposition alliance have accused the Rajya Sabha Chairman of repeatedly interrupting their speeches, refusing to allow debate on important issues and favoring the ruling party during discussions.
