Sambhal Jama Masjid Case: 4 people died in Sambhal violence, school and internet closed, action will be taken against the accused under NSA

Sambhal Jama Masjid Case: Violence broke out during a survey at Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, in which 4 youths died. SP and other policemen have also been injured. The violent mob vandalized and set fire to several vehicles including the CO’s car. Meanwhile, the police started firing and also fired tear gas shells. The police lathicharged and drove away those miscreants from there. In view of the tension, internet service has been shut down in Sambhal. Police said that action will be taken against the miscreants involved in the violence under NSA.

Internet service shut down for 24 hours

After the violence on Sunday November 25 ,2024 internet has been shut down in Sambhal for 24 hours. All schools from nursery to 12th will be closed today. DM Rajendra Pansia has imposed a strict ban on the entry of any outsider till December 1, 2025 . There is a curfew-like atmosphere in the entire city. The atmosphere in the city is tense due to the death of four youths in this violence. The relatives of the deceased say that they died due to police firing. According to media reports, the commissioner says that no one died due to police firing, the youth died due to the firing of the attackers.

Police arrested 21 people
Police has arrested 21 people on charges of violence, while action has been taken against more than 400 people in this case. SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi said that the situation in Sambhal is now under control. Action will be taken against the miscreants under the National Security Act. We appeal to the local people to avoid violence and trust the judicial process, SP said .
