A close aide of Sheikh Hasina has said that Sheikh Hasina will return to Bangladesh and she will return as PM. He said that the youth of Bangladesh have made a mistake because they were provoked. He has also warned the chief advisor of the interim government, Mohammad Yunus.
United Awami League vice-president Rabbi Alam, a close aide of ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said on Wednesday March 19 , 2025 that she will return to the country as the Prime Minister. Speaking to news agency ANI, he asked Bangladesh interim government chief Mohammad Yunus to “go back to where he came from.”
Alam expressed concern over the current situation in Bangladesh and said that the country is being attacked and the international community should come forward to stop it.
He said, ‘Bangladesh is being attacked and the international community should pay attention to this. Political rebellion is fine but this is not happening in Bangladesh. What is happening in Bangladesh is a rebellion of terrorists.’
Thanked PM Modi
Alam has also thanked the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving asylum to Sheikh Hasina. Along with this, he said that many other leaders of Bangladesh have also been given asylum by India.
Alam said, ‘Many of our leaders are living in India and we thank the Government of India for this. I also thank Prime Minister Modi for giving safe travel passage to our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We are also grateful to the people of India.’
‘Sheikh Hasina is coming back as Prime Minister’
Last year in July-August, there was a student movement in Bangladesh. There was a violent movement. Seeing the violent movement, Sheikh Hasina had to leave Bangladesh and flee to India. Rabbi Alam said that the violent agitators have made a big mistake and they were instigated.
He also said that Yunus is not from Bangladesh and he should go back to where he came from because Sheikh Hasina is coming back as the Prime Minister.
He said, ‘We want to tell the advisor of Bangladesh to leave his post and go back to where he came from. You, Dr. Yunus, are not from Bangladesh. Our message to the people of Bangladesh is that Sheikh Hasina is coming back, she is coming back as the Prime Minister.’
Referring to the student movement, he further said, ‘Young generation, you have made a mistake… you did wrong things but that is not your fault because you were instigated.
