Bareilly( UP) : In Shahjahanpur, the brother-in-law killed his sister-in-law Komal Saxena (25) by slitting her throat with a knife when she refused to marry his younger brother. The incident took place at around 11 am on Tuesday December 17, 2024 in Mohalla Lala Teli Bajariya when Komal was alone in the house.
A sensational murder case took place in Shahjahanpur. Here the brother-in-law killed his sister-in-law by stabbing her repeatedly with a knife. The main reason for the murder of sister-in-law Komal is believed to be a debt of Rs 7 lakhs. Her brother-in-law Anshul wanted to get his younger brother married to her so that he do not have to repay the money borrowed from Komal’s family without dowry in order to not repay the debt.
He also wanted to usurp the entire property. His plans were not successful as Komal did not agree. According to the police, he had bought a knife from a fair about two and a half months ago, since then he was plotting the murder. As soon as he got the opportunity on Tuesday December 17 ,2024 he committed the crime.

When he came out after killing Komal, his mother-in-law came in front of him. He was trying to trick her and bring her inside, but sensing his intentions, she ran away from there making noise. It is being assumed that he had come to kill his mother-in-law also. Komal’s father has died long back . After Komal’s father’s death her mother was pressuring him to return the seven lakh rupees given at the time of marriage.

Brother-in-law Anshul was aware that Komal would be coming home at 11:30 on Tuesday 17 . He sat outside the alley half an hour before. He had brought a knife hidden in his jacket. After returning from teaching tuition, Komal sat in the bedroom of the house facing the cupboard. Just then Anshul came from behind and attacked Komal with a knife. After this, turning savage, he first attacked her neck. As soon as the first knife hit, Komal resisted, but she could not save herself. Several blows were made on the neck continuously. Komal put her hands forward to save herself, but he kept stabbing her continuously.

Blood was spread inside the room
On receiving the information of the incident, Inspector Sadar Surendra Pal Singh immediately reached the spot. He found blood spread inside the room. and same time informed the senior officials about the incident . Later on SP City Sanjay Kumar, CO City Prayank Jain also reached the spot and questioned the family members. The forensic team was called to collected samples from the room and the surrounding area.

Mother broke down, brother lost his senses
After Komal’s murder, mother Savinay Saxena broke down. Crying at the door of the house, she was cursing her son-in-law. She said what wrong had her daughter done. She too always considered him as her son. She always called him Lalla. At the same time, Ankur too lost his senses after his sister’s death.

If you don’t marry my brother, I will kill you
Savinay gave a written complaint in Sadar police station and told that daughter Nikita alias Komal Saxena was in her room. Then son-in-law Anshul Sharma alias Ravi came and said that if you don’t marry my brother, I will kill you today. When Komal’s mother tried to save her , he attacked her too . She saved her life by running away.

The accused tried to mislead the police
Komal’s brother Ankur alias Sumit, who works as a clerk in ITI, is married to a girl living a short distance away in the same locality. After marriage, when the couple had a rift, the matter reached the police station. Currently, a dowry harassment case is going on. After the murder, when the police caught the accused Anshul and questioned him, he tried to mislead the police. According to the police, he said that the crime was committed by Ankur’s in-laws. He did not commit any crime. After the police questioned him strictly, he confessed to the crime. He told that he had killed Komal.

In Shahjahanpur, brother-in-law slits his sister-in-law’s throat with a knife and kills her for refusing to marry younger brother. The incident took place on Tuesday December 17 , 2024 morning at around 11 am in Mohalla Lala Teli Bajariya when Komal was alone in the house. While fleeing after the murder, he found his mother-in-law at the door and tried to attack her too. When she raised an alarm, he threw the knife and fled. Mother-in-law alleged that the son-in-law had borrowed seven lakh rupees to build a house. Now, when she asked for the money, he was talking about marrying his brother to the younger daughter.

Vartika, the elder daughter of late Suresh Babu Saxena, a resident of Mohalla ITI Colony of Thana Sadar Bazar area, had a love marriage with Anshul Sharma alias Ravi, a resident of Mahmad Jalalnagar. Younger daughter Komal used to take tuition classes along with preparing for competitive exams. She had gone to teach at 8 am on Tuesday December 17 . When she returned at around 11 am, her mother politely went to buy vegetables.

Meanwhile, Anshul entered the house and killed Komal. The mother said that she too came when Anshul was about to go out. When she questioned him after seeing his blood-stained hands, he tried to attack her too. When the people of the neighbourhood gathered after hearing the noise, he ran away. The police have arrested the accused after registering a report.
Mother said- he wanted to get her married to his less educated younger brother
In the complaint given to the police, mother Savinay alleged that the son-in-law was refusing to return the borrowed money for several days. When she repeatedly asked him, he started talking about getting his daughter married to his less educated younger brother. However, the daughter refused. Investigation has revealed that the accused wanted to get Komal married to his younger brother Chhotu Sharma, but she refused. The murder was committed with an intention of getting younger brother married so he don’t have to return the money . He is being questioned, S P city Sanjay Kumar said .
