Teacher involved in gang rape suspended, had made the woman sit in the car on the pretext of giving her a lift
Bilaspur. The teacher has been suspended in the case of gang rape of a woman. The District Education Officer has suspended teacher Akhilesh Singh Chandel after investigation. The accused teacher, along with his two companions Pramod Singh Chandel and Yajvendra Singh Chandel, had made the woman, who was waiting for a bus to go to her maternal home, sit in the car on the pretext of giving her a lift.
The three took the car to a secluded place and gang-raped the woman. On the complaint of the victim woman, all the three accused were arrested on 9 August. After investigation of the case, teacher Akhilesh Singh Chandel has now been suspended. Teacher Akhilesh Singh Chandel was the head teacher of the Government Primary School Akola in Masturi area.
