India squad announced for Champions Trophy 2025: The Indian team has finally been announced for the Champions Trophy 2025. Today (January 18), a meeting was held for three hours regarding Team India at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. After this, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar announced the team in the presence of captain Rohit Sharma.

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar today on Saturday January 18 , 2025 announced the squad for the ODI series and Champions Trophy against England at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma will be the captain in the Champions Trophy, Shubman Gill has been given the vice-captaincy. Mohammed Shami has returned.
At the same time, Mohammad Siraj was not included in the team for the Champions Trophy, which was quite shocking. At the same time, Arshdeep Singh has returned to the ODI team. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been given a chance for the first time in the ODI team. If we look at the Indian team for the Champions Trophy, then three openers, 2 wicketkeepers, 4 all-rounders, 1 specialist spinner and 3 pacers have got a chance.

At the same time, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar said that there was a discussion on Karun Nair, who scored runs in domestic cricket, but at the moment he is not getting a place in the team. The Champions Trophy is to be played in Pakistan and Dubai this time under the ‘hybrid model’. The first match of the tournament will be played between host Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on 19 February. While the Indian team will play its first match against Bangladesh on 20 February.
