The news of the tragic death of five innocent children in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki area and Hazariguda village of Jagdalpur due to drowning in deep water while bathing is extremely sad.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai wrote on his X handle :

I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this moment of grief.

In this context, the district administration has been instructed to provide financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh each to the affected families as per the rules of the government.

I appeal to the general public to keep distance from fast flowing rivers, streams and deep water sources during this rainy season.
