A US Air Force plane has reached Amritsar carrying 112 illegal Indian immigrants. This is the third batch that has been deported under the policies of the Trump administration. Earlier, 220 illegal immigrants have been sent to India in two different planes, many of whom have also been arrested.

Another US Air Force plane RCH869 has reached India. The plane landed at Amritsar airport. There were 112 illegal immigrants on board this plane, who have been expelled from America. This is the third batch of such Indians to be deported by the Donald Trump administration as part of the action against illegal immigrants. Sources had earlier said that the plane would reach India with 157 illegal immigrants, but in the updated list this number was 112. For example, a total of 332 Indian illegal people have been expelled from America. Out of the 112 people who reached India from America, 31 are from Punjab, 44 from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, two from Uttar Pradesh and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Currently, the process of documentation and verification is going on at the airport. All the deputies will be brought out after about 3 hours. 116 Indians were deported in the second batch

Recently, another US plane carrying 116 illegal Indian immigrants landed at Amritsar International Airport late Saturday night. The C-17 aircraft landed at the airport at 11.35 pm instead of 10 pm. Earlier it was reported that 119 immigrants would be on board this second batch, but according to the updated list of passengers, the number of people deported in the batch was 116.

In the second batch of illegal immigrants, 65 were from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, two each from Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, most of them were in the age group of 18 to 30 years.

104 Indians were deported in the first batch

On February 5,2025 a US military aircraft carrying 104 illegal Indian immigrants landed at Amritsar airport. Of these, 33 each were from Haryana and Gujarat, while 30 were from Punjab. Family members of the second batch of illegal Indian immigrants deported abroad were shocked, many of whom claimed that they had mortgaged their farms and cattle to raise money to send them abroad for a better future.

Why are Indians being deported from the US?

Indian illegal immigrants are being deported from the US under policies in which the Trump administration has decided to expel illegal people from the country. These include those who enter the country illegally or stay in the country beyond the duration of their visa.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the US recently, where he met President Donald Trump to discuss key bilateral issues, including immigration.

During a joint press conference, PM Modi had reaffirmed India’s commitment to send back Indian nationals, while also emphasising the need to tackle human trafficking networks that exploit vulnerable migrants.
