Raipur: The Union Finance Minister presented the budget yesterday on Saturday February 1, 2025 . Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Choudhary held a press conference regarding this. Addressing the press conference, he said that democracy has been given priority in this budget and this budget is to take the Indian society forward in the future. He said that the average age of India is 29 years and that Indian youth are making their mark at the global level and this budget will prove to be helpful in this direction.
The CG Finance Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned that no section of the society should be left behind in the future, especially important measures have been taken in this budget to encourage middle class taxpayers. He told that a rebate of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh has been given in income tax, which will provide relief to taxpayers. Apart from this, other percentage rebates up to Rs 12 lakh have also been provided by the government. Especially for government employees, a rebate of up to Rs 75 lakh has been announced.
The State Finance Minister said that such a big rebate was never given in history till now, and its benefit will be directly available to the general public. This step will benefit Indian citizens by about Rs 1 lakh crore, he added.
Farmers will get benefit
India is an agricultural based country, and big announcements have also been made for farmers in this budget. The upper limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, which will benefit about 7.7 crore farmers. Apart from this, one crore D workers will get the benefit of Ayushman Yojana, in which health assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh will be given.
Target to make India a developed nation by 2047
The Finance Minister OP Choudhary described this budget as an important step towards India’s economic future and said that the country is progressing rapidly with the vision of Prime Minister Modi. He has set a target to make India a developed nation by 2047, and to achieve this goal, three major bases—Democracy, Demography and Demand—will be focused on.
GYAN formula included in Budget 2025
FM Choudhary said that the aim of the Modi government is to ensure the prosperity of every citizen, and under this thinking, the formula of “GYAN” (Gareeb, Yuva, Annadaata, Nari Shakti) has been included in this budget. He said that when India develops, even the person in the last row will not be deprived, this is the firm belief of the government, he mentioned .
Chhattisgarh is weak in the service sector: Finance Minister Choudhary
Finance Minister OP Choudhary further said that the service sector is weak in our Chhattisgarh. A vision document has been prepared to promote the service sector. Chhattisgarh will also benefit from the development that Modi ji is doing in tourism. A decision has also been taken in the budget to promote entrepreneurship, FM added.
