On the morning of 23 December, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh Police killed three terrorists in an encounter in Puranpur. After this, on Tuesday, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and KZF terrorist Ranjeet Singh Neeta released threatening videos. There was talk of taking revenge. After this, seriousness started being taken from the government level. Every update related to the incident in Pilibhit is being monitored. In the case of three terrorists killed in the encounter, ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) is also active along with the police. The circumstances of the terrorists’ arrival in Puranpur and their helpers are being searched. In this regard, apart from Puranpur area of Pilibhit, the ATS team is also engaged in searching the links of the terrorists in the neighboring districts of Lakhimpur and Bareilly. The teams are investigating in different areas.
Vigilance increased in the district, police alert
After the threatening video of terrorist Pannu, vigilance has been increased in the district. Apart from the main routes, police has been alerted in the border area. Along with patrolling, vehicles are being checked. PRV has also been instructed to keep an eye on every activity. Investigation has also been intensified in the Uttarakhand border of Amaria-Majhola, Madhotanda to Khatima road, Sehramau North, Hazara area. Apart from this, police is also on alert on the border of neighboring districts.
