UP- This is not theft, but a scam… Everyone from administrative officers to others are involved, Congress-SP demand investigation in the case of theft of lights from Rampath

The case of theft of 3800 bamboo lights from Rampath and 36 Gobo projectors from Bhaktipath is now gaining momentum. Politics has also started heating up regarding this matter. SP and Congress party have raised questions regarding the matter. Both the parties say that how did the lights worth lakhs of rupees get stolen amidst such tight security arrangements. This is not theft, but a scam. Everyone from administrative officers to others is involved. This should be investigated.

On the case of theft of fancy lights installed on Rampath in Ayodhya, Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said, “The contractor is saying that the lights have been stolen. But it is not possible that such a large number of lights can be stolen. There is a lot of surveillance here, there is so much guard. It is being investigated.

Initial investigation has found that so many lights were not installed. Even if something has been stolen, it will be investigated. It is the responsibility of the contractor who has installed it to maintain it. There is no question of any lapse in security. This is being exaggerated. It is being said that around 3600 lights have been stolen.”
