The death of 26 people in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has further deepened the tension between India and Pakistan. Most of the people killed in this accident were tourists. India has accused Pakistan of providing shelter to terrorists.

Tensions between India and Pakistan are deepening after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed 26 people, especially since most of those killed were tourists. India has accused Islamabad of harbouring terrorists. In such a situation, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Monday April 28, 2025 that the Indian Army could attack.

Pakistani Minister Asif said, “We have strengthened our forces because it has become imperative now. Therefore, some strategic decisions had to be taken in this situation, and those decisions have been taken.” The minister’s statement clearly indicates that tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors may increase further.

Indian Army also active on the border

There is a wave of anger in India over this attack. People have demanded aggressive action against terrorism. Indian military forces have also become alert on the border, and many defense experts believe that India can consider quick and strict action. India clearly believes that Pakistan is responsible for these terrorist incidents, because it gives shelter to terrorists.

In his conversation with a news channel , Minister Khawaja Asif further said that the Pakistani Army has informed the government about the possibility of Indian attack, although he did not tell on the basis of which intelligence or incident this assessment has been made. Asif said, “Pakistan is on high alert and it will use its nuclear weapons only when there is a direct threat to existence.
