In response, New Zealand achieved the target of 107 runs in 27.4 overs by losing two wickets. The two setbacks that New Zealand suffered, the first wicket was of captain Tom Latham (0) and the second wicket was of Devon Conway (17). Rachin Ravindra remained unbeaten on 39 runs and Will Young on 45. There was an unbeaten partnership of 72 runs between the two.

The Kiwi team has won a Test in India after 36 years. Earlier in 1969, New Zealand defeated India by 167 runs in Nagpur under the captaincy of Graham Dalling. At the same time, in 1988, New Zealand defeated India by 136 runs in Wankhede under the captaincy of John Wright. For the first time, the Kiwi team has won while chasing. With this, India’s streak of consecutive wins in Tests has also been broken. Before this match, India had won six consecutive Tests at home. On January 25, England defeated Team India by 28 runs in Hyderabad. After this, India won six consecutive matches. Now this streak has been broken. Not only this, after 24 years, a visiting team has successfully achieved a target of 100+ runs in India.
